Komdigi to Issue 13 Series of Stamps Throughout 2026

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Communication and Digital will issue 13 series of stamps throughout 2026, as part of the country's efforts to maintain the collective memory of the nation through stamps.

The Minister of Communication and Information, Meutya Hafid, emphasized the position of stamps as a record of the nation, including in caring for Indonesia's stories about culture, history, and national identity.

"Postage stamps are also a record of the journey of the nation that we must continue to take care of together," said Meutya Hafid in his statement quoted Tuesday, February 3.

The 2026 E-catalog of Stamps prepared by the Directorate General of Digital Ecosystem of the Ministry of Komdigi will contain 13 series, where all of its publications will be compiled as a series of narratives about Indonesia.

"Through the 2026 Stamp Catalogue, we present a series of stamp publications that reflect the richness of Indonesia, ranging from cultural heritage and biological diversity to national events and international cooperation," he said.

The 13 series include the Fire Horse Year Series, the Wayang Pandawa Lima Series, the Fruit Series, the Artifacts and Historic Buildings of the City of Palembang Series, the Great Indonesian Children Series, and the President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Series for the 2024-2029 term.

The issuance also includes the Indonesia-Uruguay cooperation stamp and Indonesia's participation series in international philatelic exhibitions such as BOSTON 2026, MACAO 2026, BANDUNG 2026, and PHILATAIPEI 2026.

"Postage stamps still have a role as a link between generations and as a reminder of the identity of the nation," he said.
