Tambang Timah Longsor di Bangka, 6 Pekerja Ditemukan Meninggal

SUNGAILIAT - The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands, recorded six tin ore miners in Pemali Village, Bangka, found by a joint SAR team in a dead state.

The head of the Bangka Regency BPBD, Rusmansyah in Sungailiat, said that a total of eight tin ore workers in the Pemali Bangka District were victims of landslides and six people were found dead.

He explained that the six mine workers were each found on Monday (2/2) evening by three people and three more were found on Tuesday (3/2) morning.

Meanwhile, one worker was found safe with injuries to his legs and another one has not been found.

"The joint team continues to search for one person who has not been found today starting at around 06.00 WIB," said Rusmansyah, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, February 3.

Rusmansyah said all the victims, both those who died and were injured, had been taken to the hospital for identification and treatment.

The landslide disaster in the mining area occurred on Monday (2/2) afternoon at around 17.00 WIB. The landslide occurred when workers were looking for tin, suddenly the ground around the workers collapsed with a loud noise.

It is suspected that the tin ore mining of the unconventional mine belongs to a private individual without official licensing documents, although the mining activity is above the PT Timah Mining Business Permit (IUP) area.

"We hope that the joint team will succeed in finding one victim who has not been found. The search process uses heavy equipment, such as excavators and other supporting equipment to speed up the search process," said Rusmansyah.
