OnePlus 16's Shocking Leak, 200 MP Telephoto Camera Said to Be Ready to Challenge Chinese Flagship

JAKARTA - OnePlus 15 baru meluncur beberapa bulan lalu. Namun bocoran mengenai penerusnya, OnePlus 16, mulai bermunculan. Informasi terbaru menyebutkan bahwa OnePlus tengah menyiapkan peningkatan besar di sektor kamera, khususnya pada lensa telefoto.

This leak comes from a post on the OnePlus Club account on the X platform. In the post, it is stated that OnePlus 16 will be equipped with a telephoto camera with a much higher resolution and a larger sensor than the previous generation.

"OnePlus 16 is rumored to use a 200 megapixel telephoto camera with a 1/1.56-inch sensor size," the account wrote.

For comparison, the OnePlus 15 comes with a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera that has 3x optical zoom capabilities and a 1/2.75-inch sensor size. With a much larger sensor and higher resolution, the OnePlus 16 is believed to be able to deliver significant improvements in zoom photography, including sharper details and better low-light performance.

If this leak is accurate, the OnePlus 16 will be on par with other Chinese flagships such as the Oppo Find X9 Pro and Vivo X300 Pro which also rely on large telephoto cameras. Although the focus distance or optical zoom capabilities have not been revealed, the 200 megapixel resolution allows for more flexible digital zoom results without losing much detail.

This information is also in line with previous reports that mention that OnePlus 16 will bring high-end specifications. This phone is rumored to come with a 240 Hz screen, Snapdragon 8 Gen 6 Pro chipset, and a triple camera configuration with a 200 megapixel resolution.

However, in the previous leak, the 200 megapixel camera was referred to as the main camera, which was combined with a 50 megapixel ultrawide camera and a 50 megapixel telephoto camera. This information difference shows that the specifications of the OnePlus 16 are still in the development stage and are potentially subject to change.

Because it is still considered an early leak, all information regarding the OnePlus 16 still needs to be treated with caution until there is an official confirmation from OnePlus.
