178.897 Train Tickets from Jakarta to Lebaran Have Been Sold
JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Regional Operation 1 Jakarta recorded 178,897 tickets for Regular Long-Distance Trains departing from Pasar Senen Station and Gambir Station, Jakarta, have been sold for the 2026 Lebaran holiday period, namely March 11-19, 2026.
"For the departure on March 19, 2026, 25,733 tickets have been sold from the Jakarta Daop 1 area," said PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) Regional Operations Manager 1 Jakarta, Franoto Wibowo in Jakarta, Monday, February 2, reported by ANTARA.
He said that ticket booking services can be accessed from February 2, 2026 to H-45. The public can already book tickets for departure on March 19, 2026 (H-2).
"Meanwhile, ticket reservations for departure H-1 or March 20, 2026 will begin to be opened on Tuesday (3/2) at 00.00 WIB," said Franoto.
The number of ticket reservations shows a gradual increase as the peak of the homecoming flow approaches. On March 11, 2026 (H-10), a total of 6,429 tickets were sold, then increased on March 12 (H-9) to 16,763 tickets, and again increased on March 13 (H-8) with 23,957 tickets.
A significant spike occurred on March 14 (H-7) which reached 25,256 tickets, followed by 21,324 tickets on March 15 (H-6).
Furthermore, sales on March 16 (H-5) were recorded at 18,325 tickets, March 17 (H-4) as many as 20,046 tickets, March 18 (H-3) reached 21,046 tickets, until the peak on March 19 (H-2) with 25,733 tickets sold.
Based on the latest data, the favorite date for booking tickets is on March 13, 14, 15, 17, 18, and 19, 2026, which each recorded sales of more than 20 thousand tickets.
"The peak of the order was on March 19, 2026, with sales approaching 26 thousand tickets in one day," he said.
PT KAI Daerah Operasi (Daop) 1 Jakarta urges the public to purchase tickets through the Access by KAI application or other official KAI ticket sales partners.
"If the tickets on the desired date or relationship have been exhausted, customers can use the 'connecting train' feature as an alternative trip," he said.
