Astro Employee Abused by a Group of People at Pasar Minggu

JAKARTA - Police admit that they have not received a report of alleged persecution by a group of people against Astro employees in the Jalan Ampera Raya area, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, on Saturday, January 31, 2026 in the early hours.

The head of the Pasar Minggu Police, Kompol Anggiat Sinambela, confirmed the information about the dispute. However, until now the victim has not made an official report to the police.

"According to what is on Instagram, there is a dispute, it has been checked at the location at the time of the incident, but the victim who feels it has not made a report to the Polsek," he said when contacted on Monday, February 2, 2026.

According to information obtained by the police, some of the victims chose not to report because they were afraid of a follow-up attack. The police stated that they had checked the location during the incident and were still waiting for an official report if the victim decided to take legal action.

"We have gone to the scene of the crime, we left from the report first," he said.

It is known that a number of Astro employees were reported to be victims of alleged persecution by a group of people in the Jalan Ampera Raya area, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, on Saturday, January 31, 2026. This event was then widely circulated on social media (social media) Instagram, after the narrative of the incident and CCTV footage circulated.

Based on information circulating, the incident began when a car allegedly hit a motorcycle parked in the Astro store area. The owner of the motorcycle then asked the car driver to take responsibility for the incident.

The car driver was said to have stated that he would solve the problem and contact his family to come to the location. However, upon arrival at the scene, a number of people who were said to be his family were allegedly abusing the retail employees.

As a result of the incident, several employees were reported to have been injured. The act of violence was also said to have been recorded on a surveillance camera (CCTV) at the location.
