Old Town Closed for Lisa Blackpink Film Shooting, MSMEs Receive Compensation

JAKARTA - The West Jakarta City Government has ensured compensation for traders of the Kota Intan binaan location (Lokbin) in the Old City area, Jalan Cengkeh, Pinangsia, Tamansari, which were affected by the closure because the location was being used for filming a film starring Lisa Blackpink.

"Of course, the DKI Provincial Government will continue to pay attention to the welfare of traders by providing compensation for these activities," said Head of the West Jakarta Industrial, Trade, Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises (PPKUKM) Iqbal Idham Ramid, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, February 2.

He said that from January 31 to February 1, 2026, there were 60 traders in Lokbin Kota Intan who were temporarily unable to sell because the location was being used for filming.

"In total there are 60 traders, (data) from January 31 to February 1," said Iqbal.

According to him, the closure of Lokbin Kota Intan was a follow-up to the results of a meeting held on January 15, 2026.

The meeting, which was attended by a number of policy makers, contained the determination of the location to be used for filming the film starring Lisa Blackpink.

"At the meeting, the JXB party explained the filming that will be carried out in several places in the Old City area," said Iqbal.

He said, the JXB, based on the direction of the Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Rano Karno, stated that the City of Jakarta wanted to be a Cinema City, and one of its locations was the Old City.

Meanwhile, the filming of the film was carried out on Jalan Cengkeh on January 31-February 7, 2026.

"The position of Lokbin Kota Intan is on Jalan Cengkeh and the JXB party asked for the Lokbin area to be sterile during the filming," said Iqbal.
