Jetour T2 PHEV to Enrich Indonesia's Hybrid Market in Semester 2 2026

JAKARTA - The electrification of PT Jetour Sales Indonesia continues. The Chinese manufacturer ensures that the plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) variant of its flagship SUV, the Jetour T2, remains on the launch track that has been set.

The environmentally friendly model is targeted to greet the Indonesian market in the second half of 2026. The presence of the T2 PHEV is part of Jetour's strategy to expand the choice of electrified vehicles, while complementing the T2 gasoline-powered variant that has already been sold.

Marketing Director of PT Jetour Sales Indonesia Moch Ranggy Radiansyah, confirmed that the plan had not changed. In fact, Jetour is also preparing special steps in the near future.

"PHEV is still in accordance with the previous plan. We will present the T2 PHEV in the second semester of 2026. For IIMS, of course, there will be a stir from Jetour Indonesia," said Ranggy, Saturday, January 31.

Visually, the T2 PHEV still retains the same design DNA as the conventional version. This SUV still carries a boxy body with a solid silhouette, and high ground clearance.

The strong masculine character reflects the identity of an adventurous vehicle. Looking at global specifications, the Jetour T2 PHEV relies on a fifth-generation 1.5 TGDI hybrid engine with a thermal efficiency claimed to reach 44.5 percent.

The combination produces up to 221 Tk of power and 390 Nm of torque, supported by a 26.7 kWh battery. In certain conditions, such as when driving slowly or in an enclosed area, the electric motor can work dominantly, providing a silent driving experience, similar to a pure electric car.

To channel power, Jetour embeds a three-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) transmission. This system is designed to make gear shifts feel smoother and maintain an acceleration response that remains comfortable.
