Meryl Streep Forgets Memory in First Trailer for "The Devil Wears Prada 2" Film

JAKARTA - 20th Century Studios released the first trailer for The Devil Wears Prada 2. This film is a sequel to the first film after 20 years.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 tells the story of Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep), the editor-in-chief of the Runaway magazine who faces challenges for the magazine. He is faced with his assistant (Emily Blunt), his former assistant who now works for a brand.

The figure of Andrea Sachs (Anne Hathaway) in the first film starts her work under Miranda Priestly. The first film was a box office success when it was released in theaters.

The trailer for the sequel film, which lasts almost two minutes, shows Andrea Sachs meeting Miranda Priestly. Miranda looks confused because she forgot about Andrea.

Andrea and Miranda face off against a character played by Emily Blunt who is a rival in the journalism industry. Streep, Hathaway, Blunt, Stanley Tucci, Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman return to play their previous characters.

In addition, Simone Ashley, Lucy Liu, B.J. Novak, Justin Theroux, Lady Gaga and Pauline Chalamet joined as new cast members. Helen J. Shen and Conrad Ricamora also joined Caleb Hearon.

Adrian Grenier who played Sachs' lover, Nate, did not join the sequel.

The sequel also marks a reunion between director David Frankel and screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna with producer Wendy Finerman.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 will be in theaters May 1, 2026.
