BMKG: Jabodetabek Dominated by Light Rain Throughout the Day

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that the weather in the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) areas will be dominated by cloudy to cloudy conditions throughout Monday, February 2, with the potential for light to moderate rain at a number of points.

In the early morning to the morning, light rain is likely to occur in the Thousand Islands, North Jakarta, Central Jakarta, West Jakarta, East Jakarta, as well as Bekasi Regency and the Tangerang Raya area. After that, heavy cloudy weather is expected to persist until noon.

Entering the afternoon until the evening, light rain is still potentially pouring over most of the Jabodetabek area, including Bogor and its surroundings.

BMKG recorded air temperatures in Bogor ranging from 20-28 degrees Celsius, while other areas were in the range of 24-30 degrees Celsius. The humidity level is quite high, namely 72-96 percent.

The public is urged to increase vigilance against the potential for rain that may be accompanied by lightning or thunder and strong winds, especially in the Thousand Islands, the Jakarta area, Bekasi, Tangerang Raya, as well as Bogor Regency and City.

The wind direction blows from west to northwest with a speed of around 10-30 kilometers per hour.
