iQOO 15 Ultra Rely on Sony 50MP Periscope Camera and Vivo Flagship Imaging Algorithm

Jakarta - iQOO is preparing to launch its latest flagship phone, the iQOO 15 Ultra, on February 4, 2026 in China. This device targets high-end users, especially serious mobile gamers, with a combination of extreme performance and premium camera systems.

Based on the official teaser shared on Weibo, the iQOO 15 Ultra will be equipped with a Sony 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom capability. This camera is equipped with optical image stabilization (OIS) which has been upgraded to CIPA 4.5 level, promising more stable and sharp photo results, especially in low light conditions.

Not only relying on hardware, the iQOO 15 Ultra also carries Vivo's flagship-class image processing algorithms. Among them are the NICE 3.0 Optical Reconstruction Engine and the Magic 2.0 Image Restoration Engine, which are designed to improve detail, sharpness, and color fidelity.

This official specification is in line with previous leaks that mention a three-camera rear configuration of 50MP, as well as a 32MP front camera for selfie and video calling needs.

In the connectivity sector, iQOO embeds 29 surround antennas that are able to adjust the signal path automatically according to the way the user holds the phone. This device supports the N79 5G band and is equipped with the AI Esports Signal Engine 2.0 which is claimed to be able to increase the strength of the Wi-Fi signal, even when it is blocked by thick walls.

Interestingly, iQOO also introduced the Universe Metro Gaming Network, a feature that enables an online gaming experience with low latency in underground environments such as metro stations.

The iQOO 15 Ultra screen measures 6.85 inches using a Samsung-made LTPO 2K flat panel. iQOO claims this phone is capable of running Honor of Kings games at 144fps with Ultra settings and improved map textures.

To keep the temperature stable, this device carries an Ice Dome Air Cooling System equipped with an internal fan. Other gaming support features include capacitive shoulder triggers, high-precision gyroscopes, and touch response rates optimized for esports competitions.

In terms of performance, the iQOO 15 Ultra is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with the internal Q3 gaming chip. This phone is said to come with RAM configurations of up to 24GB and internal storage of up to 1TB. Graphics features include native 2K upscaling, frame interpolation up to 120fps, and real-time ray tracing for more realistic game visuals.

For power, the iQOO 15 Ultra is rumored to carry a jumbo 7,400mAh battery with 100W fast charging support, both wired and wireless. The device also comes with a 1115 coaxial stereo speaker tuned with Dolby Atmos, a sophisticated dual-axis haptic system, support for 144fps livestreaming, and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

iQOO 15 Ultra will be available in two color options, namely 2077 Black and 2049 Silver, with a futuristic design that confirms its identity as a premium gaming flagship phone.
