Patients Recover From COVID In Purbalingga Reaches 5,469 People, Health Office: The Pandemic Is Not Over Yet, There Is Still An Increase

PURBALINGGA - The Health Office of Purbalingga Regency, Central Java stated, the number of recovered COVID-19 patients as of Monday, May 31 was 5,469 people.

The head of the Purbalingga Health Service, Hanung Wikantono, said the total cases today reached 5,886, with details of 5,469 being declared cured, 262 dead, 111 people self-isolating and 44 people still being treated at a number of health facilities.

Based on this data, it is known that there is still an increase in COVID-19 cases.

"Of course, this data is a reminder to all parties in this region that the pandemic is not over yet, there is still an increasing trend of COVID-19 cases, so health protocols must continue to be strengthened," he explained in Purbalingga as quoted by Antara, Monday, May 31.

The Health Office also continues to intensify socialization regarding health protocols so that the community remains disciplined.

"The goal is for the public to remain disciplined in implementing health protocols and at the same time anticipating the spike in COVID-19," he said.

He added that the Purbalingga Regency Government regularly reminded that health protocols were continuously strengthened to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

"This effort also requires community support, so we invite the public to continue to strengthen health protocols and apply 5M, namely wearing masks, washing hands, maintaining distance, avoiding crowds and limiting mobility," he said.

The Health Office also continues to intensify a number of efforts to accelerate the handling of COVID-19, including a vaccination program for the elderly. As of May 24, 2021, 13,710 elderly people have received the first dose of vaccination.

"Of the 13,710 elderly, 11,201 of them have received the second dose or the complete dose," he said.
