Prabowo to Open 2026 Central-Regional Government Rakornas in Sentul
JAKARTA - The President of the Republic of Indonesia (RI), Prabowo Subianto, is scheduled to open the 2026 National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) of the Central and Regional Governments held by the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) on Monday, February 2, in Sentul, Bogor, West Java.
Head of the Information Center (Kapuspen) of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Benni Irwan, said that the 2026 Rakornas aims to provide guidance to all regional heads together with the elements of the regional leadership coordination forum (forkopimda) and other stakeholders. This is especially to support the implementation of the President's priority programs towards Indonesia's Gold 2045.
"Accelerating the achievement of the President's priority programs to realize food and energy sovereignty, as well as a productive and inclusive economy with the achievement of an economic growth target of 8 percent," said Benni in a statement in Jakarta, quoted by Antara, Sunday, February 1.
The Ministry of Home Affairs will hold the 2026 Central and Regional Government Rakornas at the Sentul International Convention Center (SICC), Bogor Regency, West Java, Monday.
In addition to opening the event, President Prabowo is scheduled to give directions to the participants of the rakornas.
He will also convey the evaluation notes of the government's performance during 2025. The directive also contains strategies in anticipating the performance of 2026 to be better.
This forum is an effort by the Ministry of Home Affairs in strengthening synergy between the central and regional governments.
This activity will be attended by various elements of the central and regional governments, including regional heads and forkopimda.
He explained that regional heads and forkopimda play an important role in ensuring the success of achieving the President's priority program targets.
They are the main engines of driving the implementation of government, community empowerment, and development in the region.
Therefore, Rakornas becomes a means to build common understanding, strengthen coordination, and synergize central and regional policy steps.
In the forum, the Ministry of Home Affairs will present the Red and White Cabinet, ranging from coordinating ministers, ministers, to heads of state institutions, including elements of the TNI and Polri, as resource persons divided into several thematic sessions.
Each session will discuss various topics, such as the synergy of economic and energy policies, sustainable food sovereignty, and other strategic issues.
This Rakornas is expected to be attended by around 4,487 participants. They consist of elements of ministry/agency leaders, governors, regents, and mayors, DPRD leaders, and forkopimda elements from across Indonesia.
