Minister of Finance Purbaya said Jeffrey Hendrik as Deputy Chairman of the IDX

JAKARTA - Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa said Jeffrey Hendrik became the Acting President Director (Pjs) of PT Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI).

"Yes (Jeffrey as Deputy Chairman of the IDX)," said Purbaya, quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, January 31.

According to Purbaya, Jeffrey and his team will represent the IDX in a meeting with Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) on Monday, February 2.

The Minister of Finance stated that the government was not involved in the meeting. "He solved the problem according to the procedures in their internal. The government does not interfere," he said.

Meanwhile, the Corporate Secretary of the IDX Kautsar Primadi Nurahmad said that his party would announce the Deputy Director of the IDX before the opening of the Bursa trading on Monday, February 2, 2026.

Jeffrey Hendrik, who is currently still serving as the Director of Development, became the representative of the IDX in a joint meeting at Wisma Danantara.

In a press conference, Jeffrey ensured that the operation of the IDX would continue to run normally, and the decision-making process to be carried out by management would also not be disturbed at all.

"We also reaffirm our commitment to building a world-class Indonesian capital market not only in terms of trading value and market capitalization, but also in terms of transparency and governance," said Jeffrey.

Jeffrey continued that the IDX will continue to increase transparency and governance of the Indonesian capital market, as well as paying attention to the latest developments related to the needs of the Global Provider Index.

"We have communicated with several Global Index Providers, and we have accommodated what is expected, and we will deliver all of this as quickly as possible to provide comfort and protection to all investors, both global investors and our domestic investors," said Jeffrey.
