Xiaomi SU7 Ultra Sales Plunge Freely, from Thousands to 45 Units Only

JAKARTA - The sales graph of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is entering a declining phase.

Data from the Dongchedi automotive platform shows that this high-performance electric sedan only sold 45 units in December 2025.

Launching from Carnewschina, Saturday, January 31, the figure fell sharply compared to its peak in March, when 3,101 units were booked.

Throughout March to August, the monthly sales of the SU7 Ultra were relatively stable at around 2,000-3,000 units.

However, the trend has sharply reversed since September with only 488 units sold.

The figure dropped again to 130 units in October, falling below 100 units in November, until it finally fell below 50 units in December.

This car was officially launched on February 27, 2025 with a price tag of 529,900 yuan.

Carrying a three-motor configuration, the SU7 Ultra is claimed to be able to produce a maximum power of 1,548 hp, accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 1.98 seconds, and traveling up to 350 km per hour.

Secara kumulatif, penjualan SU7 Ultra memang sudah menembus 10.000 unit, ini sesuai target awal yang dicanangkan pendiri Xiaomi Lei Jun.

However, the majority of the contribution came from the first half of the year.

In the second semester of 2025, sales will only range from 3,000 units.

This decline is inseparable from a number of controversies that have overshadowed the SU7 Ultra, ranging from alleged misleading advertisements, prepayment obligations, to reports that the vehicle door failed to open after an accident.

A series of issues are suspected to have also suppressed consumer interest, on the other hand, the performance of other Xiaomi models has actually skyrocketed.

In December 2025, the regular Xiaomi SU7 recorded sales of 11,123 units, while the Xiaomi YU7 penetrated more than 39,000 units.

Based on the 2025 annual retail sales ranking released by the China Passenger Car Association, Xiaomi Auto managed to enter the top 10 new energy vehicle manufacturers with a total sales of 411,837 units throughout the year.

This jumped 200.9 percent compared to the previous year.

Going forward, Lei Jun set an ambitious target of 550,000 units for Xiaomi Auto sales by 2026. With a product portfolio that is now more focused on mass market family vehicles, the SU7 Ultra is positioned as a niche model in the high-performance segment.
