Jambi MBG Task Force Investigates Case of 45 Students Allegedly Poisoned

JAMBI - The Jambi Provincial MBG Task Force (Satgas) is investigating the incident of 45 students suspected of food poisoning served by SPPG Sengeti, Muaro Jambi Regency.

"As a form of support for the smooth process of investigation, the Task Force ensures that the kitchen operations will be temporarily stopped until the results of the in-depth investigation conducted by the team are obtained," said the Secretary of the MBG Provincial Task Force for Jambi, Johansyah, in Jambi, Friday.

"The kitchen operation was temporarily stopped for the smooth investigation," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, January 30.

He explained, the alleged extraordinary incident at the SPPG Sekernan District, Muaro Jambi Regency, Friday (30/1) afternoon.

Currently, the food samples that caused dozens of students to be poisoned have been taken to the Muaro Jambi Regency Health Office (Dinkes) for examination.

"After the results of the examination, the operation of the kitchen will be re-evaluated. Now it has been temporarily suspended until the results of the investigation are declared safe," he explained.

The suspected food poisoning incident occurred to dozens of students from the play group level, to the upper secondary school (SMA/SMK) in Sekernan District. Dozens of students were treated by a medical team.

One of the health workers at the Ahmad Ripin Hospital, Edwin in the emergency room, said his party treated dozens of students who were poisoned.

"To be sure, what caused dozens of students in Sekernan, will be followed up by a competent team, while we medical personnel only provide assistance and treat them," he said.
