JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI ensures that train ticket reservations for the 2026 Eid Transport period are still available and continue to run according to the H-45 scheme. Until the end of January, public interest in planning an early homecoming trip was observed to be quite high.
KAI Corporate Communication Vice President Anne Purba said that people can now book tickets for the departure schedule from March 11 to March 16, 2026 through all official KAI ticket sales channels.
"Until January 30, 2026 at 10.00 WIB, KAI has recorded 131,756 tickets have been booked for the departure period. This number will continue to increase as the booking process progresses," Anne said in an official statement, Friday, January 30.
Based on provisional data, there are 10 relationships with the highest booking volume, namely Yogyakarta-Gambir, Pasarsenen-Lempuyangan, Lempuyangan-Pasarsenen, Gambir-Yogyakarta, Pasarsenen-Purwokerto, Yogyakarta-Surabaya Gubeng, Pasarsenen-Kutoarjo, Pasarsenen-Surabaya Pasar Turi, Bandung-Gambir, and Gambir-Cirebon.
These relationships reflect the high mobility of the community to and from large cities in the early period of Lebaran Transportation. KAI assesses that this booking trend shows the public's awareness to organize a more planned homecoming trip.
