Police Find No Criminal Elements in Revealing the Death of Lula Lahfah
JAKARTA - Police have stopped investigating the death of influencer Lula Lahfah after ensuring there was no criminal element. This conclusion was drawn after a series of thorough investigations conducted by the police.
Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of South Jakarta Metro Police AKBP Mohamad Iskandarsyah said that all investigation processes had been carried out to the maximum, including witness examination, surveillance camera (CCTV) recordings, and deepening the victim's condition before he was found dead.
"We have investigated to the maximum extent. I think it is enough that no criminal incident was found and we must carry out the termination of criminal investigations here regarding the discovery of the body of sister LL," said AKBP Mohamad Iskandarsyah at the South Jakarta Metro Police, Friday, January 30, 2026.
With the termination of the investigation, Iskandarsyah appealed to the public not to speculate about the cause of Lula Lahfah's death. He also asked the public to respect the family of the victim who was grieving.
"We respect the victim's family. Here we try introspection, don't create polemics. What sister LL did was not against the law," he said.
Furthermore, Iskandarsyah revealed that the police had examined CCTV footage related to the moments before the celebrity was found dead in his apartment in South Jakarta. The victim was found in a state of rigor mortis in a room that was locked from the inside.
The CCTV footage was presented at a press conference at the South Jakarta Metro Police on Friday, January 23, 2026. From the footage, it can be seen that the victim's domestic helper (ART) with the initials A tried to seek help after being unable to open the door to Lula's room.
Iskandarsyah explained that the initial suspicion arose when the victim did not carry out his usual routine activities.
"The next day, there was no activity from sister LL as usual. Usually, sister LL exercises in the morning, but on that day it was not visible, so it raised suspicions from A as a house assistant," he explained.
Based on the previous CCTV footage, Lula Lahfah was seen with a man with the initials PA at a restaurant in the Jalan Gunawarman area, South Jakarta. After that, the two were seen heading to the victim's vehicle and returning to the apartment where Lula lived. PA was still seen with the victim when he arrived at the apartment.
The next activity was recorded when a woman with the initials C was seen inside the apartment elevator. The police said, based on information from the hospital in South Jakarta, the victim was known to have a history of illness and had been referred to the hospital with the accompaniment of C's sister.
In the CCTV footage of the apartment lobby, ART with the initials A was also seen taking a note in the form of a package. The police confirmed that the package had been identified by investigators. After arriving on the upper floor, A put the item somewhere before returning to the victim's unit.
The next day, there was no activity from inside the Lula Lahfah unit. ART A then reported the condition to the apartment security officer. The security team, together with the engineer, tried to open the victim's room door.
"The crucial point occurred at 17.47 WIB. Based on the witness's statement, the sister's unit LL was locked from the inside, so it was forcibly opened. After the door was opened, the sister LL was found to have died," he concluded.
