Thailand Masters 2026: Amallia/Fadia and Febriana/Meilysa into the Semifinals

JAKARTA - The Indonesian women's doubles managed to secure two semifinal tickets for the 2026 Thailand Masters from the three representatives who fought in the quarterfinals of the BWF Super 300 level event.

The first ticket was won by the pair of Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma/Meilysa Trias Puspitasari who defeated Hsu Yin-Hui/Lin Jhih Yun from China Taipei in two straight games 21-13 and 22-20 at the Nimibutr Stadium on Friday, January 30, 2026.

"The opponent played quite well today. They have often participated in big matches. So, from the beginning we have prepared what kind of game we will play," said Febriana in a statement received.

Febriana/Meilysa, who are seeded fifth in the tournament, will next face seventh-seeded Bao Li Jing/Li Yi Jing.

The Chinese pair got a ticket to the last four after defeating third-seeded Chang Ching Hui/Yang Ching Tun from China Taipei in two straight games 21-11 and 21-19.

"We haven't seen the opponent tomorrow. After knowing, we will discuss with coach Karel Mainaky and coach Nitya Krishinda Maheswari how to strategize tomorrow," said Meilysa.

Meanwhile, another double women's ticket was won by the pair of Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti, who also sent home a representative from China Taipei.

The eighth seed continued their journey in a straight two-game victory against Hsu Ya Ching/Sung Yu Hsuan which ended with a score of 24-22 and 21-12.

In the semifinal round, Amallia/Fadia will meet the fourth seeded Japanese, Kaho Osawa/Mai Tanabe, who stopped Rachel Allessya Rose/Febi Setianingrum with a score of 21-18 and 21-13.
