Mensesneg Emphasizes Reshuffle of the Cabinet is the President's Authority

JAKARTA - The Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi said the reshuffling of the ministerial ranks was the prerogative of President Prabowo Subianto.

This was conveyed by Prasetyo when responding to the increasingly emerging isureshuffleRed and White Cabinet, after attending a press conference at Wisma Danantara Indonesia, Jakarta, Friday, January 30.

Prasetyo assessed that the issue of the replacement of the line-up of ministers and deputy ministers circulating in the community cannot be prevented.

"What needs to be understood about the cabinet problem, this is the prerogative of the President and then the President of course every day makes an evaluation. In quotation marks yes, it does not mean a special forum to evaluate," he said as quoted by ANTARA.

Prasetyo explained that in carrying out state programs and tasks, there must be assessments and evaluations carried out by the President.

According to him, President Prabowo will only make changes if he feels that something needs to be improved.

"If the President feels the need to make improvements or needs to make changes, then it is entirely up to him. Because he is the one who monitors the daily performance of his aides in the cabinet," he explained.

Previously, Prasetyo stated that until now there has been no discussion regarding the reshuffle of the Red and White Cabinet.

This was conveyed by Prasetyo, ahead of the inauguration agenda of the National Energy Council (DEN) members, at the Presidential Palace complex, Jakarta, Wednesday, to respond to various questions related to the dynamics of the cabinet, including the issue of filling a number of cabinet positions.

"No," he said when answering a reporter's question.

Prasetyo explained that there was no shuffling in the sense of a cabinet reshuffle. The changes that have occurred so far are only related to the transfer of the assignment of Deputy Minister of Finance Thomas Djiwandono, who is currently undergoing the process to serve as Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia.
