Extensive Flooding, Jaktim is the Most with 41 RT Submerged
JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) recorded that East Jakarta (Jaktim) was the region with the most number of neighborhood units (RT) affected by flooding, namely 41 RT, and the average water height ranged from 70 centimeters (cm) to 3.5 meters.
"We note that currently, there are 53 RTs and 3 roads that are flooded," said Head of the BPBD Disaster Data and Information Center, Mohamad Yohan, as reported by ANTARA, Friday, January 30.
Of this amount, he said, East Jakarta became an area with 41 RT submerged in flood due to high-intensity rain and exacerbated by the overflow of the Ciliwung River.
Apart from East Jakarta, continued Yohan, South Jakarta was also quite severely affected because the average water height that flooded nine RT in the area reached 2.5 meters.
Meanwhile, in West Jakarta, the flood has gradually receded, and now only one RT is affected with a water level of around 30 cm.
Likewise in North Jakarta, only 2 RT in Kapuk Village are submerged with a water height of 30 cm.
