Not Yet Determined A Coalition, NasDem Still Ta'aruf With Political Parties
JAKARTA - The NasDem Party has not yet decided to form a coalition with certain political parties in the 2024 presidential election. However, the party led by Surya Paloh has explored communication with several political parties such as PKS, PKB, Golkar, PAN and Democrats.
"We communicate, ta'aruf (introductions) with all parties, with Golkar, PAN PKS, Democrats, PKB, all communicate," said NasDem DPP Chairman Willy Aditya to VOI, Monday, May 31.
However, Willy continued, to this day the communication has not been condensed to discuss the presidential election coalition. The two sides, he said, were just discussing the possibility of a coalition that refers to the conditions for nominating a candidate.
"This is still ta'aruf, so there are no things that are converging. It's called the idea market, yes we present our ideas, we present our ideas, both are not sufficient. This is a bridging that we offer," said a member of the Commission. I the DPR.
Regarding which political party is closest to NasDem at this time, Willy has not been able to reveal.
"Not yet, when we are sure we will announce it. This is still all ta'aruf," he said.
Questioning the candidates who are being rumored in the NasDem presidential convention, Willy emphasized that all have the same opportunity to be promoted. Both Anies Baswedan and Ganjar Pranowo.
"It's all about the lyrics, it's not a matter of looking at the problem. Everyone has an equal opportunity at the convention, so everyone has the same opportunity," he explained.
"Nasdem does not prioritize proximity. If Nasdem uses a proxy, there will definitely not be a convention," added Willy.
