Anies Receives the Title of the Person of Unity Development in Memory Today, January 30, 2022

JAKARTA - Today's memory, four years ago, January 30, 2022, the Regional Leadership Council (DPW) of the United Development Party (PPP) awarded Anies Baswedan the title of the United Development Figure. The Governor of DKI Jakarta is considered to have a brilliant performance in leading Jakarta.

Especially in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. Previously, Anies' leadership led Jakarta to receive support from many parties. Support was given when Anies moved quickly against the spread of the corona virus.

Anies' leadership in Jakarta is indeed full of dynamics. The DKI Jakarta governor for the 2017-2022 period was seen as having to work extra hard to surpass the previous leader. He tried every trick, from revitalizing Old Town to improving public transportation in Jakarta.

Initially, Anies's move was much in doubt. However, later Anies began to receive support from many parties. The support flowed heavily when the COVID-19 pandemic entered Indonesia in March 2020.

Anies moved quickly than the central government in breaking the chain of transmission of COVID-19. He began to carry out his own steps. Anies moved to increase COVID-19 tests.

He also played a large-scale social restriction policy (PSBB). This step allows those who work in the non-essential sector to work from home.

Anies closed all kinds of entertainment venues, except restaurants. Only restaurants that operate are limited so that transmission does not occur and spread.

Anies understands that if COVID-19 is not immediately dealt with, health facilities such as hospitals can be paralyzed due to overcrowding. However, Anies realizes that fighting COVID-19 cannot be done by the government alone.

Anies also invited all young people to move to help the government fight COVID-19. He asked young people to carry out health protocols.

Anies' use of Jakarta and fighting COVID-19 has received appreciation from many parties. The PPP DPW even awarded the title of Tokoh Persatuan Pembangunan to Anies on January 30, 2022.

The party with the Ka'bah symbol assessed that Anies was able to end the corona outbreak and prevent the COVID-19 vaccination movement. They hope that many politicians will emerge similar to Anies Baswedan. Moreover, with the award of the title, it is considered as part of motivation.
