Ahead of Eid, the Government Guarantees the Right to THR for SPPG Employees

JAKARTA - The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) emphasized that employees of the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) who have the status of state civil servants (ASN) or civil servants (PNS) are entitled to receive Eid al-Fitr allowances (THR) in accordance with the provisions of applicable laws and regulations.

Head of BGN Dadan Hindayana said that the payment of THR for SPPG employees followed the regulations applicable to ASN in the government environment.

"If the SPPG employee is an ASN, in accordance with the regulations in force in the Republic of Indonesia, in accordance with the ASN law," said Dadan as quoted by Antara, Thursday, January 29.

He emphasized that BGN acts as an executor and user of the budget so that provisions regarding ASN employment rights, including THR, refer to national regulations that have been set by the government.

The rule refers to the government's annual policy regarding the provision of THR and the 13th salary for ASN.

However, Dadan has not detailed the provisions for the provision of THR for SPPG employees who are not ASN status, including non-ASN personnel involved in MBG service operations.

On the same occasion, Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan said the MBG Program continues to grow with the number of SPPGs reaching 22,091 units throughout Indonesia.

According to him, the number of MBG beneficiaries has now exceeded 60 million people as the scope of services for students and vulnerable groups has expanded.

The program also has an impact on the absorption of direct labor, with the number of workers at SPPG recorded at 924,424 people.

In addition, the involvement of suppliers and program partners has also increased, reaching 68,551 suppliers and 21,413 partners. Meanwhile, the process of procuring government employees with work agreements (PPPK) is said to be running for 32,000 formations.

The government emphasizes the strengthening of the MBG Program governance, including the aspects of staffing and welfare of service officers, as an important part to ensure that the program runs sustainably and is targeted.
