Adly Fairuz Ready for Cooperation in the Wanprestasi Case, Peaceful Settlement Discussed

JAKARTA - Although the legal process for the lawsuit for failure to perform is still ongoing, the Adly Fairuz party seems to still open the door for a peaceful settlement.

His lawyer, Andy Gultom, hinted at plans to discuss further with the plaintiffs.

Andy admitted that until now there has been no mediation between the two parties.

"Not yet, not yet, not yet," he said at the South Jakarta District Court, Thursday, January 29.

However, he emphasized that they would try their best to solve this problem.

"Later we will try our best," he continued.

One of the steps they will take is to have a discussion outside the trial. This plan was sparked after he spoke with the legal team from the plaintiffs.

"The plan was discussed with his lawyer, we plan to discuss further," said Andy.

Furthermore, Adly Fairuz's party emphasized that his client would be cooperative and ready to follow all applicable legal processes.

"Our client has conveyed clearly that he is a good citizen, if there is a legal process, he will cooperate," said Andy.

He ensured that Adly would always be present if his testimony was needed by the court. This attitude was taken to show that they respected the legal process.

For information, this case began with the alleged failure to fulfill or breach a promise regarding the promise to help a prospective cadet pass the Police Academy (Akpol).

Adly Fairuz was accused of receiving a large amount of money from the victim named Abdul Hadi with the agreement to help enter Akpol, but the promise was not realized.
