Truck Boks Crushed into a Water Channel Hole in Koja, Damkar Evacuates

JAKARTA - A box truck unit fell into a drainage hole on Jalan Kramat Jaya Raya, RT 02/09, Tugu Utara Village, Koja District, North Jakarta, Thursday, January 29, 2026. The incident made the truck driver panic.

The incident was then reported to the North Jakarta Fire Post for the evacuation process.

"True, we evacuated. The position of the rear tire of the box truck was stuck in the sewage pit," said Head of Operations Gulkarmat North Jakarta and Thousand Islands, Gatot Sulaeman, when confirmed.

Gatot explained, based on the report's statement, the incident began when the truck was about to be parked. But suddenly the rear wheel of the vehicle was stuck in a drainage hole.

"The tire sank because of the unstable road conditions due to being submerged in the flood," he said.

The evacuation process was carried out by towing using one fire truck.

"We pulled the vehicle using a medium rescue unit. The truck was successfully evacuated and there were no casualties in this incident," said Gatot.
