After Ensuring to Bring Pure Electric Car Products to Indonesia

JAKARTA - After the brand is part of the Chery Group, it plans to bring a line of pure electric cars to the Indonesian market, in addition to currently bringing a PHEV line.

This was revealed by the Indonesian Lepas Product Manager, Lalu Indra Wirabhakti. However, he did not elaborate on what model and when to launch the BEV variant.

"We have BEVs later, we will announce at the right time because our platform is also available for the BEV version," he said, during a media drive event, Thursday, January 29.

As previously reported, Lepas, indeed continues to deepen its penetration in the Indonesian automotive market. After making its world debut for the right-hand steering L8, this brand has prepared a new breakthrough next year.

Deputy Country Director of Lepas Business Unit Indonesia, Ricky He, said that next year will be a very busy period for Lepas, especially until mid-year.

"We will be busy for the first half of 2026. That is, from January to July we will be very busy launching the latest products," he said in a discussion session with the media at ICE BSD, Thursday, November 27.

So, it's worth waiting for the commotion from Lepas to continue to present an interesting car lineup in various segments, to enliven the national automotive market.
