Task Force: Huntara Development in Aceh Completed 100 Percent
JAKARTA - Spokesperson for the Task Force (Satgas) for the Acceleration of Post-disaster Rehabilitation and Reconstruction of the Sumatra Region, Amran, said that the construction of temporary housing (huntara) in Aceh Province has been completed 100 percent.
"In Aceh Province, the huntara is 100 percent, as many as 3,248 have been completed," said Amran at the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) Office, Jakarta, Thursday, January 29, reported by ANTARA.
Meanwhile, people in Aceh Province who have received the Waiting for Housing Fund (DTH) assistance are recorded as 2,559 families (KK) out of a total of 9,766 KK.
Then the construction of huntara in North Sumatra which has been completed as many as 557 units. Meanwhile, the community who has received DTH as many as 1,688 KK from a total of 6,550 KK recipients.
Meanwhile, in West Sumatra, the huntara which has been completed has been built as many as 476 units, with the number of people who have received DTH as many as 1,685 KK out of a total of 2,004 KK.
Amran emphasized that the Task Force for the Acceleration of Rehabilitation and Reconstruction of the Post-disaster Region of Sumatra was committed to accelerating the construction of huntara in the three disaster-affected provinces.
According to him, the completion of the huntara and the distribution of DTH is expected to continue to reduce the number of people affected by disasters in the evacuation.
Amran explained that in West Sumatra Province the number of refugees decreased from 10,854 people on January 24, 2026 to 9,040 people. Meanwhile, in North Sumatra Province, a total of 11,085 refugees were recorded, and in Aceh Province, 91,663 refugees.
Currently, the total number of refugees in the three provinces based on the latest data is 111,788 people, this figure shows a gradual downward trend.
