Trump Reportedly Considering New Attack on Iran After Failing to Negotiate
JAKARTA - US President Donald Trump is considering options for launching a devastating attack on Iran after talks on Tehran's nuclear program failed, according to a CNN report, citing several sources.
Citing several sources, the New York Times newspaper previously reported that negotiations to reduce tensions in Iran last week had not yielded results as Tehran continued to refuse to surrender to Trump's demands.
The report, which was reported by ANTARA, said that the options currently being considered by Trump include air strikes against Iranian leaders and security officials, as well as attacks on nuclear facilities and government agencies.
However, Trump has not made a final decision and believes that with the arrival of the American attack group previously sent to the region, his military options will expand.
Following Trump's threats against Iran, there has been no significant direct contact between the two sides in recent days, the report notes.
