Xpeng The Next P7 Electric Sedan to Debut at IIMS 2026

JAKARTA - Xpeng Indonesia ensures that it will bring a surprise to the 2026 Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) by presenting the latest premium electric sedan, Xpeng The Next P7. This model relies on a combination of cutting-edge technology and high-end performance.

This certainty was revealed directly by Vice President of Marketing Xpeng Indonesia Hari Arifianto. He said that Xpeng's participation in IIMS this year was not just to showcase existing products, but also to introduce flagship models that are on the rise globally.

"Xpeng X2 and robots, we will also bring the Next P7, hopefully it can be an added value. And this is becoming the trend of our products globally," Hari told reporters in Jakarta, Tuesday, January 27.

The statement confirms the strategic role of P7 in strengthening the existence of the Xpeng brand in the Indonesian market. The Xpeng P7 comes as a pure electric sedan that prioritizes the balance between performance, mileage, and smart technology.

This car carries a battery electric vehicle (BEV) drive system with a large capacity battery option. For mileage, Xpeng claims the P7 can travel more than 700 kilometers based on the CLTC standard on certain variants.

In fact, the Long Range Ultra variant is said to be able to reach around 820 km in a single full charge. In terms of design, the P7 presents a strong sport-electric character through aerodynamic body and elegant proportions.

Its spacious dimensions also provide a spacious cabin for five passengers, plus a competitive trunk space in the electric sedan class. This sedan is also equipped with an 800-volt battery architecture that supports super fast charging, with peak DC charging reaching hundreds of kilowatts.

On some variants, battery charging can increase by tens of percent in just a few minutes. In terms of performance, the Xpeng P7 is available in rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) options.

For the AWD Performance variant, the combined power is claimed to penetrate 430 kW or equivalent to around 586 hp, complete with a large torque. Acceleration from 0-100 km/h can be completed in about 3.7 seconds in the high performance version, while the top speed is in the range of 230 km/h.

The P7 is also filled with modern technology such as the XPILOT driver assistance system, large infotainment screen, smart connectivity, and over-the-air (OTA) software updates. The entry of the Xpeng P7 into the Indonesian automotive market automatically opens up new competition in the electric sedan segment, with BYD Seal as the main rival.
