Iran Will Respond in a Way Never Before Seen If America Attacks
JAKARTA - Iran will respond in an unprecedented way if the United States carries out an attack, Iran's mission to the United Nations said on Wednesday, responding to military threats from President Donald Trump.
"Iran is ready for dialogue based on respect and mutual interests - BUT IF PROTESTED, IT WILL DEFEND ITSELF AND RESPOND IN A WAY THAT HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE!" the mission wrote on X along with a screenshot of President Trump's social media threat on Wednesday morning, "a large fleet" is heading to Iran, launching Al Arabiya and AFP (20/9).
Iran's mission, which warned against US intervention, also referred to the victims and expenditures of the United States in the two previous wars.
"The last time the US made a mistake by fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq, they squandered more than 7 trillion US dollars and lost more than 7,000 American lives," the mission said.
Then on Wednesday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi wrote on X, the Iranian military is ready to "immediately and strongly respond to any aggression against our beloved land, air, and sea."
"At the same time, Iran has always welcomed a mutually beneficial, fair, and equal nuclear deal - with equal status, and free from coercion, threats, and intimidation - that guarantees Iran's right to peaceful nuclear technology, and guarantees no nuclear weapons," he added.
President Trump on Wednesday repeated his threat to attack Iran, saying "time is almost up" to make a deal on nuclear weapons.
"As I have told Iran before, MAKE A DEAL! They didn't do it, and 'Operation Midnight Hammer' happened, a massive destruction of Iran. The next attack will be much worse!" Trump wrote on Truth Social.
It is known that President Trump has repeatedly opened up new military action options against Iran, after Washington joined Israel's 12-day war in June aimed at weakening Iran's nuclear and ballistic missile programs.
