Two Blues supporters are reported to be hospitalized ahead of the Champions League match in Naples. Napoli and Chelsea will meet at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium on Thursday, January 29, 2026, early morning WIB, in the last match of the group stage.
"The club is aware of the incident that occurred on Tuesday evening (27 January 2026 local time) in Naples. Two supporters are being treated in hospital, after suffering non-life-threatening injuries."
"The club would like to remind all supporters to be very careful while in the city and to heed the advice shared ahead of this game," Chelsea wrote on their official X account.
Chelsea are currently in eighth place - the last qualifying spot for automatic qualification for the knockout phase - with 13 points from seven games.
The Blues are hoping to secure a top-eight finish in the Champions League group stage against Napoli to avoid playing in next month's knockout phase playoffs.
