Attorney General and Kaltara DPRD Sign Civil and TUN MoU

TANJUNG SELOR - The commitment to strengthen clean and accountable governance is shown through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) and the North Kalimantan Provincial DPRD (Kaltara).

The signing was carried out directly by the Head of the High Prosecutor's Office (Kajati) of Kaltara, Yudi Indra Gunawan and the Chairman of the Kaltara DPRD, Achmad Djufrie at the Kaltara DPRD Hall on Tuesday, January 27.

Kajati Kaltara, Yudi Indra Gunawan, said this cooperation focuses on strengthening the role of the State Attorney in providing legal support to the Kaltara DPRD, especially in the field of Civil Law and State Administration (TUN).

"The scope of cooperation includes the provision of legal assistance in litigation and non-litigation by the State Attorney in civil and TUN cases," said Yudi Indra.

"In addition, there is the provision of legal considerations in the form of Legal Opinion (LO), Legal Assistance (LA), and Legal Audit, as well as other legal actions oriented towards the rescue and recovery of state wealth and state assets," he continued.

Yudi also expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the DPRD for giving confidence to the State Attorney so that this memorandum of understanding could be implemented.

"This trust is a manifestation of excellent synergy. The State Attorney is ready to support the institutional tasks of the DPRD so that every step remains within the legal corridor," said Yudi.

He emphasized that in addition to the main task of law enforcement, the Prosecutor's Office also has the authority to provide assistance to elements of the regional government.

"This is a preventive step to realize good governance and clean governance," he said.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Regional DPRD of North Maluku, H. Achmad Djufrie, welcomed the cooperation and expressed the readiness of the DPRD to synergize in every implementation of government duties, especially those related to the function of legislation.

"This synergy does not only stop at legal assistance, but can also be developed in order to increase human resource capacity through information exchange and the presence of the Prosecutor's Office as a resource person in various activities organized by the DPRD," he explained.

Achmad Djufrie hopes that this MoU will become a strong foundation for synergy between the Attorney General's Office and the Kaltara DPRD.

"This cooperation is part of strengthening the protection of state assets and increasing legal certainty in every implementation of institutional tasks," he said.
