Unstoppable International Law, Israeli Artillery-Fighter Jets Continue to Bombard Gaza

JAKARTA - Israeli artillery and fighter jets continued to hit the Gaza Strip, Palestine, on Wednesday, January 28.

Israel is unstoppable international law ignores the validity of the US-mediated Gaza ceasefire agreement more than three months ago.

Al Jazeera's team on the ground reported that shelling and firing of heavy Israeli tanks continued east of Khan Younis City in the southern Gaza Strip since early Wednesday, January 28.

Meanwhile, Israeli fighter jets carried out three air raids on houses east of the city of Deir el-Balah, which is under the control of the Israeli military.

In Jabalia north of the Gaza Strip, local sources said at least two explosions occurred as Israeli soldiers carried out demolition operations.

The Israeli military also fired into the neighborhood east of Gaza City.

Nearly 500 Palestinians in Gaza - including children, women, and the elderly - have been killed since Israel-Hamas agreed to a ceasefire deal on October 10, 2025.
