Teacher at Pamulang Detained by Parents of Students for Alleged Verbal Violence
JAKARTA - A social media upload of a teacher in Pamulang, South Tangerang, named Christiana Budiyati or commonly known as Bu Budi is facing a reporting process for alleged verbal violence against her students.
The account also wrote that the incident began during a school competition that took place in August 2025. In the incident, a student was reported to have fallen. However, instead of providing help, a number of victims' friends left him.
Responding to this, Bu Budi gave educational advice to the students so that similar incidents would not happen again and to cultivate empathy for others.
"However, the advice given in the class was then perceived by one of the students as a form of public anger," wrote the account.
Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Budi Hermanto, explained that the case began in August 2025, a teacher with the initials CB allegedly said inappropriate words to a student.
"Then, the child concerned reported it to his parents, and his parents finally met the teacher. However, the mediation effort has not met a point of convergence," said Budi at the Metro Jaya Police Headquarters, Jakarta, Wednesday.
He explained that the teacher did not apologize to the student, even though he had been waiting since August-December 2025, but there was still no apology, either in front of the forum or in front of many people.
"This is still being investigated, and we hope that things like this, the feasibility of the greatness of both parties, so that we can both solve it together," said Budi.
Meanwhile, the South Tangerang Police Chief AKBP Boy Jumalolo in his statement explained that his party was still finding out whether there were criminal elements or not.
"Restorative Justice (RJ) in the Criminal Code (Criminal Code) has just been regulated, of course we open a wide space for RJ," said Budi.
