Tottenham striker Randal Kolo Muani is fine after car crash ahead of Champions League

JAKARTA - Tottenham Hotspur striker Randal Kolo Muani was involved in a car accident on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, local time.

According to Spurs manager Thomas Frank, his condition is fine and it is estimated that he will play against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League on Thursday, January 29, 2026.

Kolo Muani attended an open training session at the club's Hotspur Way facility in Enfield, but photos circulating on social media showed the Paris Saint-Germain loanee and his team-mate, Wilson Odobert, standing next to a black Ferrari that was damaged.

Odobert was reportedly in his own car, but stopped to help Kolo Muani. They then went to Stansted Airport together.

"Everyone involved in the accident is fine. It was a tire that exploded. So, they were a little late, but they will land later," Frank said in a press conference.

When asked to provide more details about the incident, Frank did not want to provide additional information.

"They are fine, it happened on the way to the airport. I haven't spoken to them personally. The first message was that they were fine and nothing happened, as I said the first time.

"They will fly later. I fully hope that both will be available for the match against Eintracht Frankfurt," said Frank.

Meanwhile, there is another bad news for the Spurs. Frank revealed that Pedro Porro and Micky van de Ven did not go to Germany after suffering injuries.

"Pedro did not go. Unfortunately, he suffered a hamstring injury so he had to be out for four weeks. Micky did not go. Minor injury. Maybe he will be available for the weekend game (against Manchester City)," said Frank.

Frank clarified that Van de Ven's minor problem was not related to a hamstring injury after the Dutch player suffered an injury in the area during the 2024/2025 season.

Spurs are struggling again in the English League this season, but their journey in the Champions League has been very positive. Last week's victory over Borussia Dortmund was a much-needed boost for Frank at a time when supporters turned against the Danish coach.

Currently, Spurs are in fifth place in the Champions League standings. A win at home to Frankfurt will guarantee Frank's team a direct passage to the last 16 automatically because it will enter the top eight.

Apart from that, Tottenham only won two out of their last 10 games in all competitions. Fan discontent has reached boiling point.

Plus, right back Porro is absent for four weeks followed by Van de Ven, making a total of 14 players unavailable.
