Densus 88 Arrests Again Terrorists In Kurik Merauke
JAKARTA - The National Police's Anti-terror Special Detachment 88 has again arrested terrorist members from the Ansharut Daulah Papua network in Kurik, Merauke.
"The arrests of terrorists were made on Sunday, May 30," said the Head of the Merauke Police, AKBP Untung Sangaji, as reported by Antara, Monday, May 31.
He stated that the arrested terrorist member was a man along with evidence.
"Sorry we can't reveal further because it is still under development," said AKBP Untung.
Previously 10 terrorist members were arrested, including one woman, IK, who is the wife of AP. The 10 people who were detained were part of the Ansharut Daulah network and were involved in the suicide bombing case in early January in Makassar.
The 10 terrorists have been detained since Friday, May 28 and scheduled for Wednesday, June 2 to be flown to Jayapura, namely AK, SB, ZR, UAT, DS, SD, WS, YK, AP and IK, out of 10 a married couple namely AP and IK (female).
They were arrested because it was indicated that they were planning to carry out suicide bombings in a number of churches around Merauke.
