Fourth Day After the Cisarua Landslide Disaster, the Korpasgat TNI AU Was Deployed to Help Evacuate
JAKARTA - The Indonesian Air Force Rapid Deployment Force (Korpasgat) was deployed to assist in the evacuation process of landslide victims in Cisarua, West Bandung, Tuesday, January 27.
The Head of the TNI AU Information Service (Kadispenau) First Marshal TNI I Nyoman Suadnyana said that this effort was carried out to accelerate the process of searching for victims who were still buried.
"Entering the fourth day after the disaster, the Korpasgat soldiers under the leadership of Captain Pas Iswahyudi together with the joint SAR team are still surviving in the affected area," I Nyoman said in the press release when confirmed in Jakarta, Wednesday, quoted by Antara.
I Nyoman continued, during the search process, his party had encountered several obstacles ranging from high rainfall to a difficult terrain.
The rainfall factor, he continued, is something that must be considered because it has the potential to cause subsequent landslides.
"Despite many obstacles, the operation continues gradually in several points with the support of available SAR equipment," said I Nyoman.
With the presence of Korpasgat soldiers, I Nyoman hopes that the evacuation process can run optimally so that all victims can be found.
"The presence of Korpasgat soldiers is a tangible proof of the commitment of the Indonesian Air Force to help the community, by continuing to fight together with the joint SAR team to evacuate the victims," he said.
