YouTube Officially Collaborates With PewDiePie To Appear Exclusively On Its Channel
JAKARTA - YouTube has officially partnered with Felix Kjellberg or better known as PewDiePie, to appear exclusively on its platform. Later PewDiePie will broadcast live broadcasts on the YouTube Gaming channel.
This collaboration was announced by YouTube Gaming through its official Twitter account. Because, since last year, PewDiePie has only held live streaming events exclusively on the DLive platform, a small blockchain-based site.
"Live streaming is something I want to focus on in 2020 and in the future, and being able to partner with YouTube and be the face for new features in these products is a special and exciting thing in the future," Felix said in his official statement as quoted from The Verge, Tuesday May 5th.

With this collaboration, YouTube has succeeded in increasing the range of gaming creator content to appear exclusively on its platform. Where previously, YouTube has collaborated with a number of streamers, such as CouRage, Typical Gamer, and Valkyrae to appear on YouTube Gaming.
Actually, YouTube's exclusive contract with PewDiePie is not too surprising. Because many platforms such as Mixer, Twitch, and Facebook Gaming are also 'recruiting' popular streamers to appear exclusively on their sites.
Even so, it is not yet known how much the contract value has been agreed by PewDiePie to appear exclusively on YouTube Gaming. Because at the end of 2019, PewDiePie also stated that he would take a break from YouTube.
"YouTube has been my home for more than a decade and now live streaming, it's a perfect fit as I'm constantly looking for new ways to create content and interact with fans around the world," continued Kejellberg.
In fact, the PewDiePie channel has 104 million subscribers on YouTube. Where every time, he uploads his video game content which is watched by more than 25 billion viewers.
In August 2019, PewDiePie also became the first individual content creator to reach 100 million subscribers. Thanks to this achievement, YouTube conferred the Red Diamond Creator Award, the highest award plaque that has been achieved by content creators.
