Tip the iCar V23 Electric SUV Specification Leak which will Debut at IIMS 2026
JAKARTA - The Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) event in February 2026 will be the debut for iCar in Indonesia. The sub-brand of the Chery Group will present its first car for Indonesian consumers.
"iCar will be born at IIMS 2026 and we will hold a press conference. We will bring a lineup at IIMS, namely iCar V23," said Head of Marketing iCar Indonesia Metta Yunita at the IIMS pre-event in Jakarta, Tuesday, January 27, 2026.
The electric car itself was launched in Malaysia at the end of last year. The offroad-style electric SUV is more compact in terms of dimensions than the Chery J6 with a length of 4,220 millimeters, a width of 1,915 millimeters, a height of 1,845 millimeters, and a wheelbase of 2,735 millimeters.
Born as an environmentally friendly adventurer car, the V23 is designed to pass through various road terrains with a ground clearance of 210 mm, and an approach angle of 42-43 degrees, as well as a departure angle of 41 degrees. Even this electric car is claimed to be able to pass through puddles as high as 60 cm.
In China, the boxy-style electric car is offered in two variants, namely rear-wheel drive with a lithium ferro phosphate battery, or LFP with a capacity of 59.93 kWh with a range of 401 kilometers.
Then the all wheel drive or all wheel drive type which has an 81.76 kWh capacity NMC (nickel, mangan, cobalt) battery that can run for 501 km. As for the electric motor, the iCar V23 RWD (rear wheel drive) can emit a maximum power of 136 hp and 180 Nm of torque.
Meanwhile, for the AWD (All Wheel Drive) type, the power is 211 hp and peak torque is 292 Nm. In addition to focusing on the powertrain, this boxy SUV is supported by a myriad of advanced features such as level two ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System).
Finally, in terms of price, the iCar V23 RWD is sold for 119,800 ringgit or Rp509 million in Malaysia. Meanwhile, the iWD type is priced at 132,800 ringgit equivalent to Rp565 million.
