KPK Presents 2025 Achievements to the DPR, Tackles 48 Highest Modus Cases and Establishes 116 Corruption Suspects
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) reported the performance of the institution, especially the handling of corruption cases during 2025 in a meeting with Commission III of the DPR. KPK Chairman Setyo Budiyanto said that the institution managed to handle 48 cases with the highest modus such as bribery cases and naming 116 people as suspects.
"The handling of corruption cases handled by the KPK during 2025, including 48 cases with the highest modus operandi, namely bribery/gratuities and 11 activities were caught in the act. The details are 70 investigations, 116 investigations, 115 prosecutions, and 78 executions. Of all of them, the cases with legal force (incracht) are 87 cases," said Setyo at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, January 28.
"Then statistically, the perpetrators of crimes include politicians, mayors or state organizers, then several officials, ASN, then there are prosecutors, several corporate parties, the gender of men is quite a lot and the rest are women. With the gratification and extortion or extortion and money laundering crimes. From several regions, the most number of 47 is in the central government and several other regions, the number (of suspects) is 166," he continued.
In addition, continued Setyo, the KPK also carried out coordinated and supervised which was handled by law enforcement officers (APH) with a total of 41 cases. With the details of the cases supervised in 2025 as many as 12 cases and coordinated as many as 29 cases.
"Then 33 cases, including those that have obtained legal certainty, are still in the process. 4 cases have been completed, 23 cases are in the coordination stage and have been completed, and 6 cases have stopped the implementation of supervision," he said.
Then for the management of gratification and public service management, said Setyo, the KPK recorded 1,916 reports of gratification, an increase from the previous year.
"However, the total value of the report in rupiah from the original 7.98 (billion) is now 5.8 (billion). So the number is indeed decreasing but in quantity the number is more for those who provide reports," he said.
Setyo added, through the control of gratification and improvement of understanding, the KPK has carried out monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of gratification control, then improving the public service system, preparing a map of vulnerability to gratification practices, then by carrying out several activities for several local government sectors.
"Then also the non-local government sector is 93 non-local government, namely in several places that have medium and high risk categories," he added.
"Based on mapping with a qualitative approach, a vulnerability map is produced for service activities in sectors such as forestry, mining, plantations, environment, electricity, trade, human resources management, and banking," concluded Setyo.
