In addition to increasing the volume of users, KAI Commuter also noted the positive impact of the reactivation of Pondok Rajeg Station which began operating again at the end of 2024. After one year, the existence of the station has a significant impact on the economic, social, and environmental aspects of the surrounding community.
"This is reflected in the results of surveys and research related to social, economic, and environmental changes in the community after one year of reactivating the Pondok Rajeg Station," said Purnomo.
The emergence of various micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) around the station, the increase in land and property values, and the change in the pattern of community mobility to be more efficient are indicators of the growth of the region. In terms of the environment, the existence of the station also improves the spatial layout of the surrounding area visually and functionally.
KAI Commuter emphasized the need for cross-stakeholder collaboration to develop station services to be integrated with advanced transportation modes and community social services.
As the operator of the Commuter Line in the agglomeration area from the western end of Java Island to Surabaya, KAI Commuter is committed to continue to improve the quality of service at the 217 stations served.
"We would like to thank the millions of users who have faithfully used Commuter Line and to the regulators who have given KAI Commuter their trust," said Purnomo.
Going forward, KAI Commuter projects that the trend of user growth will continue in 2026.
For this reason, the company is preparing a strategy to add facilities and increase infrastructure capacity to meet the challenges of increasing demand for services.
"This achievement in 2025 is a barometer for us to continue to innovate," concluded Purnomo.
