BCA Boss Wants to Meet Thomas Djiwandono, This is the Goal
JAKARTA - President Director of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) Hendra Lembong revealed that he plans to meet the new Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia (BI), Thomas Djiwandono. For information, Thomas was officially appointed as Deputy Governor of BI on Monday, January 26.
"We have plans to meet with him after he is officially," he said at a press conference, Tuesday, January 27.
However, Hendra did not elaborate further on the purpose of meeting with President Prabowo Subianto's nephew. Hendra ensured that he would only announce the results of the talks after the meeting was held.
"Maybe the next opportunity we can share after our meeting with him," he continued.
Furthermore, Hendra hopes that the appointment of Thomas can help boost economic growth through new ideas.
"Yes, of course, the hope is that he can bring new ideas that are even better to help economic growth," he added.
Previously, Commission XI of the Indonesian House of Representatives officially appointed Thomas Djiwandono as Deputy Governor of the Bank Indonesia (BI) for the 2026-2031 term.
The determination was made through the consensus deliberation mechanism after Thomas underwent a series of fit and proper tests.
Thomas Djiwandono is currently serving as Deputy Minister of Finance. He is also the nephew of President Prabowo Subianto and holds the position of General Treasurer of the Gerindra Party, although he has resigned following his nomination.
