Tissa Biani Shares Support from the Late Lucky Widja at the Beginning of his Career
JAKARTA - Tissa Biani is one of the public figures who came to pay her last respects to Element vocalist Lucky Widjatmoko or Lucky Widja, who died at a hospital in Jakarta on Sunday, January 25.
Dul Jaelani's lover admitted that he had a personal closeness, and said how big the role of the deceased was in the early stages of his career in the entertainment world of the country.
For Tissa, Lucky Widja is not just a collaboration partner or senior in the entertainment industry, but a mentor who has been considered as his own family.
The emotional closeness between Tissa Biani and Lucky Widja began when the two were involved in a collaborative project in 2019. At that time, Tissa, who was still starting his career in the vocal world, had the opportunity to duet with Element through the song l"Cinta Tak Bersyarat".
Tissa remembers the moment as an important milestone that he will never forget, especially because of the sincere guidance given by the late when he felt insecure on stage.
"In 2019, a duet with Element, the song 'Cinta Tak Bersyarat' at that time. I was still small," said Tissa to the media after the funeral procession at the Jeruk Purut TPU, South Jakarta, Monday, January 26.
"(Om Lucky) is a good person, he always encourages me if I'm nervous on stage. Because I'm a duet with Om Lucky and Om Ferdy," he continued.
Furthermore, Tissa said that Lucky Widja's support was not limited to professional matters on stage. The late was known as a caring and warm figure to Tissa's family.
Their relationship is even like an uncle and nephew. Tissa remembers how Lucky often encouraged him to be more courageous in exploring his abilities, considering that it was his first experience releasing a single after previously only covering songs.
"I was the first time singing a song that was really, usually just covers, and this is my first single. Then Om Lucky, and also Om Ferdy, of course, always encourage me so that I don't get nervous, and more PD (confident)," said Tissa.
"Yes, that's what I remember until now. Om Lucky's figure is good, funny, and really like Om for me too, like Bapak for me too. And the person always supports me, always supports my career," he added.
Tissa admitted that he was very surprised when he first heard the news of Lucky Widja's departure through Ferdy Tahier's social media upload. He admitted that he did not know about the disease suffered by the deceased, because until now Lucky always looked fit and never showed signs of fighting against the disease.
Due to their busy schedules, communication between the two has been rare in recent years, but that has not diminished Tissa's respect for the late.
"I as a person who has worked with Om Lucky, testify that Om Lucky is a good person. May his good deeds be accepted and all his sins be forgiven by Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala," concluded Tissa Biani.
