Schools, Musala and Residents' Houses in Cilincing Are Torn Apart by Strong Winds

JAKARTA - In addition to causing trees to fall, the strong winds that hit the North Jakarta area on Monday, January 26, 2026, also caused a number of buildings to collapse in Cilincing.

"In total, there are 15 units of houses that are moderately damaged. Meanwhile, 1 unit of school has suffered heavy damage. Meanwhile, the mosque also suffered minor damage," said Cilincing Police Chief, AKP Bobi Subasri when confirmed, Monday, January 26, 2026.

The police chief explained that as many as 12 houses on Jalan Kalibaru Barat 2, RT. 02/06 suffered damage. Meanwhile, 4 wooden warehouses also suffered damage.

Then on Jalan Kalibaru Barat 4 RT 04/12 there were 4 houses that were severely damaged.

"Meanwhile, on Jalan Kalibaru Barat 4 in RT 03, 05, 08, 09, 12, 13 and 15 RW 07 there are 34 houses, 2 schools, 1 mosque and 1 musala that were damaged," he said.

AKP Bobi ensured that there were no casualties in the incident.

"For the victims, there is none, only damage to the roof," he explained.

Meanwhile, for people affected by bad weather, they have started to repair their houses.

"Residents are surviving by repairing their houses," he said.

The police chief will also provide assistance to affected people.

"Residents are being registered to get assistance," he said.
