Menhaj Down Direct, Hajj Officers 2026 Asked to Be Mentally and Totally Ready to Serve

JAKARTA - Minister of Hajj and Umrah Mochamad Irfan Yusuf directly reviewed the Education and Training (training) activities of the Saudi Arabia 1447 H/2026 M Hajj Service Officer (PPIH) candidates to ensure the readiness of the officers before serving pilgrims in the Holy Land.

During the review conducted at the Pondok Gede Hajj Dormitory, Irfan Yusuf emphasized that the mental, physical, and operational readiness of the officers was crucial because they were the spearhead of the Indonesian Hajj service in Saudi Arabia.

He expressed his appreciation after seeing the enthusiasm and dedication of the participants in the training. According to him, this positive energy is the main capital in facing the challenges of dynamic hajj services.

"I have to make sure that they are really ready and have high spirits, because they are the spearhead of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia. Alhamdulillah, I see that spirit," said Irfan Yusuf, Jakarta, Antara, Monday, January 26.

Apart from the readiness of human resources, the man who is familiarly called Gus Irfan also highlighted the technical and operational management aspects that have been designed for the 2026 Hajj.

He admitted that he had listened to various training materials and assessed that this year's preparations were much more mature than in previous years.

According to him, better technical readiness is expected to be able to minimize obstacles in the field while increasing the index of satisfaction of pilgrims.

"I have also seen the division of work patterns and consumption arrangements, everything has been prepared. God willing, with more mature preparations like this, we will get better results," said Irfan Yusuf.

The strategy for placing officers is also a major concern. The Ministry has divided the concentration of officers into three main areas, namely the Makkah Working Area (Daker), the Madinah Working Area (Daker), and the Airport Working Area (Daker). This division is intended to ensure that every stage of the movement of pilgrims, from arrival to the performance of worship, can be served optimally.

Irfan Yusuf hopes that the relatively long preparation period can be directly proportional to the maximum performance achievement on the field.

On that occasion, he also conveyed a message to the prospective officers that the success of the 2026 hajj was not only related to the performance of the ministry, but also brought the good name of the country and the government of President Prabowo Subianto.

According to him, the performance of officers in the field has a chain effect. The success of officers serving pilgrims is a reflection of the success of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, which ultimately becomes part of the overall success indicators of the government.

"The success of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah will certainly also have an impact on the success of President Prabowo's government as a whole, because this ministry is part of his government. Therefore, we ensure that everything goes as well as possible," said Irfan Yusuf.
