Tanjung Priok - Bekasi Cannabis Network Bandar Arrested by the Kelapa Gading Police

JAKARTA - The Kelapa Gading Police Criminal Investigation Unit arrested a dry marijuana dealer on Jalan Raya Kebon Bawang, Kebon Bawang Village, Tanjung Priok District, North Jakarta.

From the arrest, a total of 4 suspects were arrested by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kelapa Gading Police. The four of them are known as initials I (30), Y (31) and S (36) who are residents of Babelan, Bekasi. Another person with the initials IS (35) is a resident of Pulogadung, East Jakarta.

From the hands of the fourth suspect, evidence was seized in the form of 1 large box of marijuana and 4 small packages of marijuana weighing 1.132 grams (1.132 kg). In addition to drugs, the police also seized 4 cellphones, 1 iPad and 1 motorcycle.

The Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kelapa Gading Police, AKP Kiki Tanlim, explained that the arrest of the four suspects began from information from the public that there was a suspicious activity from two initials I and Y who were suspected of wanting to transact marijuana and synthetic tobacco on Jalan Raya Kebon Bawang, Tanjung Priok.

"After the investigation was carried out, it was true that there were two people at the location, then they were secured," said AKP Kiki Tanlim when confirmed by VOI, Monday, January 26, 2021.

During the search, the Criminal Investigation Unit found evidence in the form of 1 large box of marijuana and 4 small boxes of marijuana in the bag belonging to the perpetrator with the initials I.

"When interrogated, the perpetrator with the initials I admitted that he had bought marijuana-type narcotics from the Kebon Pisang area (Bonpis) with someone called the initials B for Rp. 5 million," he said.

To the police, suspect I admitted that the marijuana-type narcotics would be used and sold to several friends who were in the Babelan area, Bekasi.

"After that, the Opsnal team developed it when they arrived at the crime scene and immediately secured two unidentified men on behalf of IS and S. After interrogation, the two men ordered marijuana," said AKP Kiki.

For further processing, the four suspects were then taken to the Kelapa Gading Police for further investigation.

The four suspects are threatened with Article 114 paragraph (2) of sub-article 111 paragraph (2) of Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics in conjunction with Article 612 of the Criminal Code regarding the case of abuse of cannabis type narcotics.
