5,000 Units of Tiggo Series Chery Super Hybrid Land in Consumer Garages

Chery Indonesia started 2026 with an important achievement. The Chinese manufacturer held a symbolic ceremony to hand over 5,000 units of Tiggo Series Chery Super Hybrid (CSH) to consumers in the country on Saturday, January 24.

The handover also coincides with the celebration of the global New Year's Eve with the theme "With Chery with Love, Cheer For Us". This momentum is a sign of increased market confidence in Chery Super Hybrid technology, as well as emphasizing Chery's commitment to providing relevant mobility solutions.

The hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) segments are considered to play a crucial role as a bridge from conventional-engined vehicles to full electrification. Chery Super Hybrid technology is an alternative that offers efficiency, performance, and flexibility, without full dependence on charging infrastructure such as pure electric vehicles.

"The achievement of the delivery of 5,000 units of the Tiggo Series CSH confirms Chery's position as the Best Super Hybrid that is relevant to the needs of the Indonesian people. Indonesia will continue to be a strategic market for Chery, in line with our commitment to present efficient, high-value, and sustainable technology," said President Director of Chery Sales Indonesia Zeng Shuo at Pantai Indah Kapuk.

Data from the Indonesian Motor Vehicle Industry Association (GAIKINDO) notes that throughout 2025, sales of electrified vehicles in Indonesia grew significantly with a market share of 21.8 percent. This trend reflects the shift in consumer preferences towards more affordable environmentally friendly technologies for everyday use, with hybrids and PHEVs being the most realistic options in the current market.

In line with this, Chery's performance in Indonesia has shown consistent growth since the beginning of 2025. Chery's retail sales have exceeded the monthly target of 2,000 units since May 2025 and continued in the following months.

This achievement shows the increasing public confidence in the quality of products, technological innovation, and the value offered by Chery. Globally, the Chery Group closed 2025 with a total cumulative sales of 2.8 million units, including more than 900 thousand new energy vehicles (NEV).

The Tiggo Series Chery Super Hybrid line is positioned to reach various segments. The Tiggo 9 CSH is a premium super hybrid SUV with a focus on high-end comfort and advanced technology.

Meanwhile, the Tiggo 8 CSH targets Indonesian families through a seven-passenger configuration, spacious cabin, and efficiency for long-distance travel. The Tiggo Cross CSH is aimed at hybrid beginner consumers, offering a modern design and complete features as an entry point to electrified vehicles.

"We understand that the ownership experience does not stop when the vehicle is handed over. Therefore, Chery is consistently expanding and strengthening after-sales services, including the availability of spare parts and continuous evaluation of the quality of our services," said Vice Coutry Director of Chery Business Unit Budi Darmawan.

Through the continuous development of Chery Super Hybrid technology, expansion of the national dealer network, and strengthening of after-sales services, Chery confirms its commitment to low-emission mobility, carbon footprint reduction, and environmental sustainability. Chery also wants to be a long-term partner in Indonesia's automotive future.
