JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) said that most of the territory of the Republic of Indonesia has the potential to experience cloudy to cloudy weather on Monday, January 25.

BMKG weather practitioner Bintari Ayuningtyas quoted by Antara on Monday morning said that for western Indonesia, the potential is in Pekanbaru, Tanjung Pinang, Jambi, Palembang, Pangkal Pinang, Yogyakarta, Pontianak, and Samarinda. Meanwhile, Banda Aceh is expected to experience cloudy weather.

Then, he said, for the eastern part of Indonesia, BMKG predicted cloudy to cloudy weather in Makassar, Kendari, Mamuju, Gorontalo, Ternate, Sorong, and Nabire. Meanwhile, Manado has the potential to experience cloudy weather.

In addition, said Bintari, light rain is potentially occurring in Medan, Padang, Bengkulu, Bandar Lampung, Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Surabaya, Tanjung Selor, Palangkaraya, and Banjarmasin, while moderate intensity rain is potentially occurring in Serang.

BMKG also reminded of the potential for lightning in Merauke, as well as light rain in Denpasar, Mataram, Kupang, Manokwari, Jayapura, and Jayawijaya. Meanwhile, the potential for hazy air is expected to occur in Palu.
