Accelerate Aceh's Recovery After the Flood, the Padang Tiji-Seulimeum Toll Road is Open for Free until January 29

JAKARTA - PT Hutama Karya (Persero) or HK as the manager of the Sigli-Banda Aceh Section 1 Toll (Padang Tiji-Seulimeum) announced the extension of the functional toll road until Thursday, January 29, 2026.

Executive Vice President (EVP) Corporate Secretary of Hutama Karya, Mardiansyah, said that this step was taken to support the smooth distribution of aid and logistics after the recent floods in Aceh.

"This step is taken to facilitate community mobility and support the smooth distribution of assistance and logistics during disaster handling and recovery in Aceh," said Mardiansyah in a written statement, Saturday, January 24, 2026.

The toll section can be crossed in two directions and is intended for Group I vehicles and logistics vehicles, with 24-hour service.

The functional operation of the toll road section is still carried out by paying attention to the road conditions which are still in the construction phase.

Road users are also urged to always be careful, obey the available signs, and follow the instructions of officers in the field to maintain safety and security during the journey.

If you need service assistance or have complaints related to the Sigli-Banda Aceh Toll Road, road users can contact the Call Center at 0821-6434-6434 or through the official account @HutamaKaryaTollroad.

Previously, Hutama Karya had operated functionally or opened the free Sigli-Banda Aceh Toll Road (Sibanceh) Section 1 Padang Tiji-Seulimeum until January 22, 2026.

However, in order to accelerate the distribution of assistance and logistics during the handling and recovery period after the recent flood in Aceh, the company decided to extend the free opening time of the toll road again.

Hopefully, the recovery in Aceh, which is one of the provinces affected by the flash floods in Sumatra, can be faster.

The extension of the functionalization of the section had previously been coordinated with stakeholders, including the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) to the local regional police.
