TNI Provides Ready-to-Drink Water in Kayu Pasak Agam Sumbar Huntara

LUBUK BASUNG - The Indonesian National Army (TNI) provides ready-to-drink water for survivors of disasters in temporary housing (huntara Football Field SDN 05 Kayu Pasak, Nagari Salareh Aia, Palembayan District, Agam Regency, West Sumatra (Sumbar).

The person in charge of the Reverse Osmosis Operator Unit of the 3/Agni Tirta Dharma Combat Detachment (Denzipur 3/ATD) of the Jaya Prada Kodam, Muhammad Husein in Lubuk Basung, Saturday, said that a special reverse osmosis vehicle was used to meet the need for ready-to-drink water for survivors of the disaster and workers in building a huntara at the location.

"We have been providing ready-to-drink water for survivors and temporary housing work for two weeks," he said.

He said that 230 liters were distributed every day for the needs of survivors and huntara work with a total of 117 units. A total of 230 liters of clean water is from 500 liters of raw water.

The reverse osmosis car provides hot, cold, and neutral water. The reverse osmosis car is also equipped for water filling using gallons.

"Most survivors and temporary housing workers take hot and neutral water," said Prada Muhammad Husein.

Previously, the TNI also met the needs of ready-to-drink water for residents in Alahan Anggang, Jorong Gumarang, Nagari Tigo Koto Silungkang, Palembayan District.

"The reverse osmosis car has been providing the needs for ready-to-drink water for disaster survivors in Palembayan, Agam Regency," he said.

Reverse osmosis is a water purification technology that is capable of filtering contaminants such as minerals, bacteria, viruses, and other dissolved substances.

This technology produces very pure water. The technology is often used for desalination of seawater, household drinking water, to industrial applications, because of its ability to remove almost all impurities.
